How to play

As part of the ATL project, a training program was developed to train people with experience of homelessness to become peer supporters. This educational game was produced to test and reinforce the knowledge gained through the training program.

The game consists of a quiz to be played individually. It is divided into 4 sets of 20 questions. No set unlocks others, so the player can choose which one to start with and which order to follow to complete the game.

After the completion of each set, depending on the score achieved, the player can move on to the next set – if the limited score to do so has been reached –, redo the same set – if the limited score to do so has not been reached or if the player wants to get a higher score –, stop and complete the game at another time-if the participants wish.

The maximum score achievable for each set is 10. The minimum score for moving on to another set is 2,5. If players score less than 2,5, they will have to repeat the set, otherwise they can move on. If the score is between 2,5 and 5, players will be suggested to repeat the set to get a better score.

The game is designed as an activity to be played with the support of professionals working in the homeless sector who, after training their users in peer support methodology, can offer this game as a reinforcement or evaluation activity. Therefore, participants will be asked to enter their name or a nickname before playing, so that once a set is completed, a professional will receive a report with the results. To receive this report, professionals will need to submit their e-mail address before each player starts the game.
